Princess Naik is a post-graduate from the University of Madras and holds a Diploma in Business Management. A true pioneer in early childhood education, she began her professional journey as an administrator before venturing into pre-primary education — a field where she would go on to leave a lasting impact.
In 1984, driven by her passion to create a better learning environment for young children, she founded PlayCoop — an innovative early-learning centre that has grown to include Day Care facilities and continues to inspire generations of children and parents alike.
Under her leadership, PlayCoop became one of the first schools in Chennai to adopt a scientific teaching methodology, combining the best practices from the Montessori system, the American model, and traditional Indian methods. Princess Naik also introduced mixed-age group teaching and a one-to-one child development approach, long before they became trends in education.
